IMAGINE Music Video Production Underway
UNICEF in Uzbekistan completed the shooting process for the official IMAGINE music video. Lola and DJ Piligim performed John Lennon's legendary song using the Uzbek traditional music elements. Sato instrumental group and children’s band Tomosha took part in the production.
The IMAGINE campaign is designed around John Lennon’s most inspirational song and marks the global CRC@25 commemoration. UNICEF launched this initiative through the special live performance in the United Nations General Assembly on the 20th of November 2014.
The project aims to raise support for children’s rights throughout the world. Individuals from all walks of life were invited to record their version of Imagine through the mobile phone application and then upload it to their social media platforms, encouraging followers, friends and family to do the same.
As part of the global initiative UNICEF in Uzbekistan and UCELL mobile company launched the IMAGINE public corners in Tashkent, Samarkand, Urgench and Karshi. In December 2014, everyone willing to join the world-wide call was able to contribute their voices for the best interest of the child.
The launch of the IMAGINE official music video by Uzbekistan is planned at the end of February 2015.
