The World Humanitarian Summit

The World Humanitarian Summit is an initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General. The first global summit on humanitarian action of this size and scope, it will be held in Istanbul on 26 - 27 May 2016. The goal of this summit is to bring the global community together to commit to new ways of working together to save lives and reduce hardship around the globe.

As preparation to the WHS, regional consultations are expected to take place, and consultations for South and Central Asia is taking place during 18 June - 10 July 2015. This is unique opportunity to share your ideas and recommendations on how to keep humanitarian action fit for future crises.
