Breastfeeding Story: The Best Beginning of a Child's Life
I am a mother of two sons. I had no problems with breastfeeding, and I want to share my successful experience.
I breastfed my eldest son until 3 years of age. My youngest son is 2 years and 4 months old, and we are at the stage of gradual weaning.
I like this Pareto rule, according to which 20 percent of efforts produce 80 percent of the results. According to WHO recommendations, exclusive breastfeeding lasts for 6 months and takes significant time during the day. Therefore, the issue of breastfeeding requires more attention.
To get an excellent and uncomplicated breastfeeding experience, I spent a long time to searching and studying information before and after the delivery. Clearly, that was not a waste of time, as the knowledge I gained was very helpful during the total of five years of breastfeeding experience.
I would advise breastfeeding mothers to study breastfeeding materials on the websites of the World Health Organization and the Association of Breastfeeding Consultants.
Breastfeeding is a natural gift and an opportunity to give your child a better start in life. But natural does not imply effortless, it takes learning for you to be sure that you are doing it right. That is how you will minimize the risks of difficulties.
Happy breastfeeding to all!
